Undergraduate Program
The Poultry Science curriculum at UGA is flexible and can be tailored to meet your specific needs and interests. For instance, you may select from a variety of agribusiness courses, particularly if you are interested in preparing for the growing number of leadership opportunities available in the poultry industry and other areas of agribusiness. However, if you are more interested in research, preparing for a graduate or professional school of medicine, veterinary medicine or other professional schools, there are also a large number of more scientific, research-based courses available.
Undergraduates can explore a variety of disciplines. The Poultry Science curriculum offers the freedom to choose a number of poultry-related electives as well as general electives in any subject you find interesting. Challenging industry internships are available for students who want to explore career paths before graduation and earn a little extra money in the process.
The UGA Poultry Science Department has world-renowned faculty and staff. They have some of the most modern and sophisticated research and teaching facilities in the nation, where undergraduate students are allowed a variety of unique, hands-on experience learning opportunities.
